CASME II is an improved spontaneous micro-expression database for building robust automatic micro-expression recognition systems. Data were collected in a well-controlled lab environment with proper illumination (e.g., removing light flickering). It provides higher temporal resolution (200 fps) and facial area resolution (~280×340 pixels). From nearly 3000 facial movements, 247 micro-expressions were selected and annotated with action units (AUs) and emotion labels, along with baseline evaluation settings.
